Simple Tips on How to Make a Stainless Steel Cleaner

Fingerprints, smudges, film and dust build up on the surface of our stainless steels. Since commercial cleaning products are costly, a homemade cleaner will save money and effectively clean the steel.
  1. Mix one part vegetable oil with one part water and two parts white vinegar. Shake well before using it.
  2. You can also add 10 to 15 drops of lemon, orange or vanilla extract for fragrance.
  3. Wash brushed stainless steel with hot, soapy water going with the grain. Shake the stainless steel cleaner and spray on the stainless steel. Wipe the solution off with a clean and dry cloth.
  4. Continue until all steel is cleaned, and always thoroughly dry the steel with the clean, dry cloth to prevent streaking.

Benefits of Stainless Steel Products

Stainless steel has many environmental and social benefits. Stainless steel products enable us to lead a healthier life and are cleaner for the environment as well. Below are some of the main examples where stainless steel is used.

Fire and Heat Resistance
Special high chromium and nickel-alloyed grades resist scaling and retain strength at high temperatures.

Corrosion Resistance
Lower alloyed grades resist corrosion in atmospheric and pure water environments.

Hygiene
The easy cleaning ability of stainless steel makes it the first choice for strict hygiene conditions, such as hospitals, kitchens and food processing plants.

Ease of Fabrication
Modern Steel-making techniques mean that stainless can be cut, welded, formed, machined and fabricated as readily as traditional steels.

Long Term Value
When the total life cycle costs are considered, stainless steel is often the least expensive material option.

Aesthetic appeal
Stainless steel is available in many surface finishes. It is easily and simply maintained resulting in a high quality, pleasing appearance.
